Getting to and around Prince Rupert and area can be confusing! You have a few options: 1) Drive from Prince George. If you live in BC, you can drive to Prince Rupert, but there is only one route - through Prince George down Highway 16 West. This is an 8-9 hour drive. 2) Fly into Smithers (a 4 hour drive away) or Terrace (a 1.5 hour drive away) and rent a car. This is one of the most beautiful drives in BC, specifically from Terrace to Prince Rupert. Drive next to the Skeena River with gorgeous mountain views. Smithers is a cute mountain town if you're looking for something extra for your trip. 3) Fly into Prince Rupert. This seems straight forward but the airport is on an island, so it takes longer than you think to get to town as there are extra steps. Make sure to check out the airport website and read information regarding the Digby Island Ferry service. The shuttle leaves from the airport and takes 20 minutes to get to town.

Getting to Prince Rupert

Located in the center of Prince Rupert’s tourism area, this elegant hotel features a waterfront restaurant and hot tub. It is1 block away from Adventure Tours, offering whale and bear watching tours. Each room at the Crest Hotel features views of the city or the harbor. A pair of binoculars is provided to enhance the view through the large picture windows. These ocean-side cabins are down the road from the venue. Quite rustic but very cool. Beside train tracks, so it can be quite noisy at night.

The North Pacific Cannery is located about 20 minutes outside of Prince Rupert in PORT EDWARD. It is only accessible by car. We are working on getting a shuttle service for the day of the wedding, but not sure if it will happen yet :)

BOOK FAR IN ADVANCE. If you can afford this experience, we HIGHLY recommend. Stay at a floating barge with top notch food and grizzly tours daily. Take a float plane through the mountains to get there. One of the coolest things we have ever had the privilege of experiencing.
